Coastal living just minutes from Melbourne's CBD offers a life of unparalleled enjoyment.

Port Lane in Port Melbourne is located within walking distance from the beauty of the beach and the business of the city.

ID_Land, listed among Urban’s list of 10 developers to watch in Victoria this year, are behind the Williamstown Road development.

Award-winning architects Rothelowman draw on Port Lane's beachside location. Rothelowman worked in lockstep with interior designers Hecker Guthrie and landscape consultants Tract to create a development that is authentic and distinctive, all while priced lower than Port Melbourne's median.

With a star studded cast coming together to create Port Lane, Urban took a look at its five most luxurious features.

1. Excellent exteriors

Designed by Rothelowman, the exteriors of each of the 122 three-bedroom townhouses complement the coastal surrounds.

A verdant entrance pergola marks the entrance of Port Lane with curated landscaping framing the townhomes themselves.

The material palette of crisp white juxtaposed against warm timber tones and green accents is a nod to the site’s heritage.

Secure car parking, flexible floorplans and manicured gardens are among the development’s many offerings.

2. Carefully designed interiors with floorplans of choice

“Creating spaces that evoke an atmospheric interior experience, Port Lane celebrates light, softness, subtlety and shifting forms”, said the interior designer, Paul Hecker of Hecker Guthrie.

The home’s considered design features an abundance of light and space to allow for private moments, outdoor entertaining areas and fluted glass to mimic the reflective water of the Bay.

There are six different floorplans on offer, Harbour Mist, Calm Shore, Sea Breeze, City Light, Parkside Green and Morning Dew. They range in size from 189 sqm to as large as 260 sqm with spaces curated to match any lifestyle.

3. Clean Aesthetic

Interior designers at Hecker Guthrie described the aesthetic as, "refreshingly contemporary, yet timeless and classic."

The bathroom has been crafted for comfort and thoughtfully designed for ease of living. A minimal design creates an orderly space, complemented by luxurious details including walk-in showers, a large bath and premium finishes.

Hazy thresholds are united with timber floorboards and joinery, whilst large windows create a relaxed ambiance. A smooth transition to the terrace creates an entertaining area for friends and family alike.

4. Bayside location synergy

Just moments from the waters of Port Phillip Bay and lights of Melbourne’s CBD, Port Lane’s unique aesthetic emulates the qualities of its surrounds. The extraordinary level of synergy with its location flows through every detail of each townhome to create an atmosphere of coastal living that screams Port Melbourne.

The development at 201 Williamstown Road takes a prime position allowing owners to spend weekends exploring the bayside location, out on the water or relaxing at the beach. Walk to Fishermans Bend, Sandridge Beach, SOUTH MELBOURNE Market or meander along the Bay Trail.

Whichever direction you walk in, you're spoilt for choice, with lush parks and gardens for relaxing, trails for exploring and the Royal Botanic gardens to enjoy an afternoon picnic or bike ride.

It is a less than five minute walk to the Port Melbourne dog beach.

5. Tour individual curated gardens

Selected by landscape architects, Tract, the development features a mix of native plants suited to the coastal environment.

Designed to soften the modern architecture, Tract’s landscaping sits in harmony with Port Melbourne biosphere as a whole and contrasts with the built form of the homes.

The three bedroom, two bathroom homes start from $1,025,000.
