The star architect turned developer Joe Adsett has his hands on first self-development project on the Sunshine Coast.

He's heading to Moffat Beach, just north of Caloundra, where he'll be creating Lagune, a collection of just five whole-floor apartments at 20 Queen of Colonies Parade, a stones throw from the sand.

The rare oceanfront building on 638 sqm will offer panoramic views from Moffat Beach to Point Cartwright.

Positioned above the sprawling cliffs at Moffat Beach, the proposed building will deliver five full-floor luxury residences, two lap pools, full height glazing, outdoor showers, and ocean views.

The sweeping arcs of the façade embrace the residences, boldly framing the views of the coastline and tastefully linking the building to its natural surroundings. Each residence hosts well-proportioned spaces, arranged to maximise cross flow, natural light, and functionality.

Each of the five full-floor apartments will range in size from 270 sqm and will offer four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living areas, a central courtyard, a kitchen with a butler's pantry, two car spaces, and direct lift access.

The luxury residences draw inspiration from the surrounding natural elements of the coastline and local flora to create and everlasting connection between the residents, environments, and the community.

“In architecture we’re always seeking north in our designs and the way in which we orientate our living spaces,” Joe Adsett said.

“The uniqueness of the location is all to do with the natural beauty that’s afforded by a north-facing beach where you get these rocky outcrops, beautiful headlands and great surfing breaks”, Adsett says.

“We receive enquiries every week through our website, from people seeking this unique location and offering. You don’t have to look hard to realise why it’s so popular. “

Adsett is no stranger to the area, or even the street, having been the lead architect of Honu, the beachfront project under construction next door by Holm Developments.

Adsett, who has designed some of the states most impressive homes, turned to apartment development a few years ago with a string of successful projects, all of which are selling out prior to completion

More recently submitted in Brisbane's affluent Kangaroo Point is River Arc, which will see 14 full-floor apartments built overlooking the Brisbane River.
