Belle Vue Park, the historic Oak Park mansion, which has been restored back to its former glory, is on the market for the first time in 25 years.

This historic 1879 Victorian mansion totals over 60 squares.

It is on 3500sqm. Lived in by one of Melbourne's founding fathers and first entrepreneurs, John Pascoe Fawkner, between 1840 and 1855 the home was also referred to as ‘Belle Vue Park’.

A gated entrance, return driveway and established gardens, surround the residence, on the top of the hill at the end of a quiet court. Fifteen generous rooms plus four bathrooms, including two bedrooms with full ensuites and a selection of living rooms, studies, dining room and lounges, characterize this well proportioned home.

In addition, there is a billiard room, parent’s retreat, sunroom, spa, pool and sauna.

The residence which has been updated considerably by the current vendors, which now includes a two-storey veranda, marble floors and fireplaces, iron work, gold leaf in the formal rooms, high decorative ceilings, stained glass windows, hydronic heating, zoned security system, two industrial cooling units, and wide drive to remote entry four-car garage with separate three- phase power to the main home.

With a large part of the land to the north side of the main residence, an array of possibilities exist including expansion, or further development, subject to council approval.

Sean Keogh and Michael Keogh of Nelson Alexander are seeking offers for 7 Oak Park Court over $4,400,000.
