Poised to hit the streets of Ivanhoe is striking newcomer 40 Upper Heidelberg Road. The structure will house a combination of commercial, retail, and residential offerings -- including 109 residences spread across eight levels. Designed by John Demos Architects, this mid-rise is elevated off the ground to create spaces for cafe and dining features.

The development comprises two forms, one of which will span most of the structure’s frontage. Expansive balconies and windows will be draped in a brass veil, which curves up the height of the structure. Featuring cutouts and projections, the veil is designed to stimulate visual intrigue whilst providing residents with privacy, ventilation, and screening.Mirroring the character of surrounding communities, the exterior makes use of a wide variety of materials and architectural forms, whilst giving a subtle nod to the rich and layered history of Ivanhoe.
