Accepting the initial offer for your home is usually the better option than waiting in the hope of getting a better price, according to RP Data's Cameron Kusher.

He bases this insight on RP Data research which shows that if a home sells in less than 30 days, it has consistently recorded the lowest level of discounting by vendors.
